As the COVID-19 pandemic has increasingly placed everyone at risk and disrupted lives and businesses, we at Stinson, Lasswell & Wilson, L.C. want to share with you the measures we have put in place and assure you of our commitment to continued, uninterrupted service.
We are confident that we are fully able to serve your legal needs in the current environment and we are committed to serving you with the same level of service, expertise, and confidentiality that you have grown accustomed to. We are also committed to the health and wellness of our attorneys, staff, and clients. Therefore, we are implementing several safety precautions in accordance with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) guidance. These safety precautions include conducting as many telephonic conferences with clients as is possible, limiting in-person meetings to essential meetings only, enforcing self-quarantining amongst our staff and attorneys, if necessary, and requesting that clients refrain from entering our offices if they have tested positive for COVID-19, have been exposed to an individual who has tested positive to COVID-19, are symptomatic, or have traveled to a state or country with known widespread community transmission.
At this time, we are asking all clients for their cooperation with these safety measures through April 7th, and we will continue to evaluate both this timeline and the safety measures on an on-going basis. Per a just released March 18th Administrative Order from the Kansas Supreme Court, all Kansas Courts have been closed or are being limited to only emergency operations. Your patience is greatly appreciated while we gather additional information to determine if/how this may affect your individual cases. We intend to update you once we get information relevant to your case, as we have historically done.
Should the CDC and KDHE guidelines change such that our office must work remotely, please know that we are prepared to do so with the same level of security, accessibility, and quality of service as we would from our physical location. As a firm, we have already begun to have some staff and attorneys work from home to ensure the safety of our staff and their families. Should remote work become mandatory, we will notify you in as prompt a manner as possible to ensure minimal disruption of your legal matters.
Stinson, Lasswell & Wilson, L.C. is your partner in this and in all other matters that affect your business, family, safety, and wellbeing. If you have any questions, please contact us. We look forward to the end of this pandemic and appreciate your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times.

What Clients Say About Us
“I just wanted to thank you for all of your help in resolving my case. I really appreciate all you have done for me and really enjoyed working with you two, despite the circumstance. I’ll highly recommend you to anyone I know that needs a great attorney/team.”
“I never thought my divorce and custody battle would reach the state of Kansas from Texas, but unfortunately it did. After finding out completely ridiculous claims against myself, I knew I would be in great hands with Jessica Fiegel and Karissa Newton. Jessica represented my mother back in March 2018 for a protecting from stalking case that was thrown at her against her granddaughter. Long story short, that case was dismissed and everything was proven to be a LIE. Jessica Fiegel just got done representing me against the same person who filed a protection from stalking against my mother and who filed a protection from abuse against me and another long story short, that case was also dismissed (even though the plantiff extremely helped out with my case by showing her true colors) but I will not get into detail. Jessica is very knowledgeable, thorough and a GREAT asset to your company. Jessica thank you so very much for all your help as I greatly appreciate it.”
“Thanks for your wise counsel. You’ve given me a much clearer picture of where I stand.”
“Thank you for all your dedicated efforts. You guys mean more to me than you will ever know and we will have a great weekend. What a great team.”
“I wanted to let you know that you have done more for me than my previous two attorneys combined, which they have cost me at least two years worth of money and not gaining anything or any ground as far as it comes to seeing my son. I guess you can say that you’re a godsend to me! I want you to also know that I am planning on having you continue to represent me until my son is 18 years old. Thank you for everything that you’ve done for me!”
“Just a note to say thanks for all your help in my divorce. I won’t hesitate to send others your way. Unfortunately, in my business, I get a lot of people that need your kind of services. I will be happy to send them your way.”
“I want to let you know how much I appreciate your efforts on behalf of my family the past few months. It’s been your job – I know – but still my comfort level was due to your experience and kindness throughout this process.”
“People who are honest and forthright need attorneys like you. Our sincere gratitude to you.”
“Thank you so much for your insight and helping us feel more comfortable in a horrible situation that we thought we would never be in.”
“I want to thank you so much for your excellent counsel and for representing me in the matter of my divorce. I could not have found a better attorney, and for that I am grateful.”
“Thank you all. Your help is immeasurable. Life can be tough, but people like you make it possible.”
“All of your staff was well informed, professional and very courteous.”
“You were a life saver for me and my family. I pass your firm’s name around a lot – any time I hear of someone needing a family law attorney.”
“There is not a week that goes by that I don’t appreciate your efforts.”
“I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all you have done for my family the past year. All of you have been helpful. Even though I don’t like what transpired in the past, I appreciate the professionalism each of you have shown.”
“I can’t thank you enough for all your hard work and talent to help me gain custody.”
