When your case has been settled by agreement, or litigated to a conclusion by the Court, your attorney will then make an attempt to bring closure to the case by writing letters detailing who is to do what and making sure that appropriate deeds have been completed and recorded, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders are appropriately transmitted dividing retirement plans and the like, and important papers are returned to the client. Under Kansas law, some portions of a will become void upon divorce.
